Dear Walnut...

I'm Linda Freedman, and I have been honored to serve as Mayor of Walnut and Councilmember over the last four years and would love to continue to serve the residents of this beautiful city. 

Walnut is our home together! We all play an indispensable role in building, maintaining, and improving our community. Collaboration is the key to the success of Walnut. Working collaboratively with my colleagues, staff, residents, and community partners has proven to be successful in bringing new ideas and events to Walnut including The Taste of Walnut, Diversity Plaza, pickleball courts, LED lighting, and more.

I've met so many great members of our community since first coming to Walnut as a teacher for the WUSD over 35 years ago, and have learned this simple truth: We are Better Together.

So, TOGETHER, let's build community engagement that encourages all residents to get involved and share in the continued success of Walnut.

TOGETHER, let's strengthen our economic future, that will allow our small businesses to thrive and maintain our city's financial health.

TOGETHER, let's continue to prioritize public safety so that Walnut maintains its status as one of the safest cities in the San Gabriel Valley.
